After booking your appointment, you need to collect together samples of all foods and chemicals you are regularly in contact with. It is important to gather as many of these as you can in order for your test to be as valid and worthwhile for you as possible.

You should bring samples of;

* Foods that you regularly eat (ideally uncooked) e.g.. vegetables, fruits, *meat, fish, bread, flour, sugar, seasonings, dairy products, egg, cereal, pasta, cooking oil.

* Foods that you avoid because they disagree with you.
* Drinks e.g. tea, coffee, milk, soft drinks, alcohol, tap water.
* Chemicals from home and work e.g. detergents, cleaning materials, toiletries, cosmetics.

* Other items e.g. pet hair, house dust (take from the vacuum cleaner),
nutritional supplements, medicines.

To prepare your samples, place about half a teaspoonful of each solid or dried item into the centre of a separate 10 cm square of cling-film. Fold up the edges and twist to close.

Liquids may be brought in a clean bottle, aerosols can be brought along in the can.
All samples should be labeled for ease of identification.
